But it’s also a little top heavy, considering that the top two prospects (Zakiyah Johnson and Leah Macy Leah Macy 6'3" | PF Bethlehem | 2025 State KY ) are two of the best prospects in America and another ( Ciara Byars Ciara Byars 6'2" | CG George Rogers Clark | 2025 State KY ) was right behind them prior to her injury last month. Here’s a look at some other Juniors that I would offer right now if I had the ability to.
I’ve been impressed with Juliana’s game since she first attended one of our showcase events. Frazee is able to finish around the bucket over either shoulder and shoots over 60% from the field, maximizing her opportunities. Her free throw shooting is also reliable and she could eventually stretch her shooting out past the three point line comfortably. I think she can be a very good small D1 post player.
Highlights
Most college coaches are willing to bet on potential and upside and Savannah has that in spades. Jarvis is 6’0 and athletic with the ability to play on or off the ball. She’s willing and able to post up smaller players and can knock down open shots from range. With her intangibles, Savannah will draw D1 scholarship interest.
Riley has been a top prospect in this class for several years and is starting to move back up the rankings now that she’s healthy. Karmin is a big time shooter who is comfortable pulling up from 25 feet and beyond and shooting without hesitation. If she gets more aggressive and starts getting to the free throw line more often, she’ll become an even more impressive prospect. I think she can play at the scholarship level.
One thing I’ve always appreciated is a player who can go and get a bucket. Caroline is exactly that. She’s one of the best pure scorers in a loaded 9th region. Scoring 22 points per game on 44% shooting is really solid and her numbers have room to improve as her three point shooting goes up. If I were coaching at a scholarship level school, I’d take a long look at Eaglin and her upside.
