Tamia is a player who I thought really played well the few times I saw her for Milton this high school season. With her switch to AEBL recently I was interested to see how she would fit in with that group of players and she did so very easily. Tomlinson looked good knocking down jumpers from the midrange. She is a strong, powerful kid who explodes off the ground and releases the ball at its highest point on her shot. She also used that strength to contribute on both ends of the court rebounding the basketball and being physical while on the ball on defense. Tomlinson is a winner who has a lot of talent and skill. Her midrange game is excellent and is becoming somewhat of a lost art in the game. If she can consistently get to her spots from 8-15 feet and knock down shots, then she will only increase her value to the college coaches recruiting her.

In a 65-59 loss to Holy Innocents’, Tamia produced 7 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals. Tomlinson is at her best when she’s able to use her strength and athleticism to power her way to the rim. She’s a solid slasher who can also knock down the open three. Typically, she has proven to be a reliable rebounder. Tomlinson can steal minutes at multiple spots 2-4.

High-flying rebounding guard, arguably the best I saw all day. Insane amount of energy and tireless motor. Strong ball movement; passing with a purpose. Always moving; rotating, cutting, etc. Her efforts paid dividends in getting good looks at the basket and clearing paths to the basket. Stayed on high alert defensively to intercept passes and convert defense to offense.

Up from 133: Tamia was a standout with her relentless energy and physicality. She dominated the offensive glass, attacking rebounds with the intensity of a wide receiver going up for a contested catch. Once she secured boards, she looked to push the ball coast to coast, using hesitation dribbles to create space. Her ability to finish with both hands and contribute on both ends of the floor made her one of the most impactful players on the court.

Has a strong frame on the perimeter. Can help guard multiple spots. Sees the floor and can hurt defenses from the mid-range.
