Coming off a very impressive high school season that earned Cat All Region honors in a very tough region and a Spring full of travel ball that saw very good individual performances, Harris recently picked up an offer from division two North Greenville University after winning the one on one competition and playing very well at their Elite Camp. At UGA Cat spent more time initiating and facilitating the offense than she did looking to score. She is joined by very talented guards

in the backcourt and all three will play on the next level. They have had very competitive games against some of the very best teams in the state like Holy Innocents, Milton, and Newton this Summer with Cat playing a major part. Harris is a true two-way player who not only is a factor offensively, but is a shutdown defender who is often tasked with guarding the other team’s best player. She is a kid that could see more offers this Summer come her way with good performances at GBCA Live this week and a continuance of her stellar play on the travel ball circuit in July.

Catt is another player whose play has drawn the interest of several schools this Spring in both Charlotte with Insider Exposure and Select Events and The Clash. Four of the five games played in Ohio Harris scored in double figures, including a pair of 18 point performances and one game where she scored 19 points for NextUp. Harris is a true three level scorer knocking down multiple three point shots in every game, utilizing the midrange game as good as any player in Georgia not named Harpring, and gets to the rim with ease off the bounce, where she finishes well. Harris finishes through contact and over and around defenders. She was at the free throw line a lot over the course of the three day event where she also shot the ball very well. Harris has some elite hands and pokes the ball away from opposing ball handlers several times a game, most of those end up with her turning defense into offense laying the ball up on the other end of the court.

Harris had several high scoring games for FBC ‘ last=’NextUp’]’s 16U team playing up in the 17U division. Catt’s surge in confidence had produced very impressive results on the court as of late. She was selected as Player of the Game after one contest and drew praise from the college coaches I talked to at the event. Harris has a very unique offensive package where she is equally dangerous and a threat to score on the break and in the half court. Harris has a very consistent mid-range jumpsuit that she goes to multiple times a game on pull ups from the elbow/free throw line area. She is just as consistent knocking down shots from the three point line also. Her ability to get downhill off the bounce maybe her best weapon as she looks casual scoring the ball or dropping off dimes to her teammates after drawing the help defense.

Catt finished her sophomore season earning a spot on the All Region team in 6-AAAAAA as well as a spot on the All Defensive team. This should come as no surprise as she was also honored for her play in Select Events tournaments last Summer. Harris is a knockdown shooter from the midrange, especially the free throw line and elbow areas where she gets to off the dribble often. Harris finishes well at the rim, specifically on the break, often after one of the numerous steals she causes. She maybe overshadowed at times by her more high profile high school teammates, but Harris is a legit Division Two prospect now, with interest from at least one Division one school in the Southeast. I expect her stock to continue to rise as she shows college coaches how solid and reliable a two-way player she is.
