The sharpshooter kept us up to date with video and team results from Team Melo EYCL. We learned that Cayenne is more than a catch and shoot player. She can create space to get her shot off and get to the basket. Her accuracy from the field requires the respect from the defense, but even tight defense didn’t stop her from getting her shot off. She has a sort of wiggle step back that seems to work all of the time. At some point defenders will scout and adjust to it, I’m sure she will have a counter ready when it happens.

Cayenne was a bright spot for the Vikings. She shot the ball really well and had a real soft and accurate floater. She doesn’t take bad shots but every shot she takes seems like it’s going in. She’s listed at 5’9″ but looks taller on the floor because of her length. She is a solid defender at multiple positions and covers a lot of ground to deflect passes.

Cayenne had some nice finishes using her inside hand to avoid the blocked shot. She changes her speed and direction well which enables her to get by the defender. She has good lateral foot speed that she uses on defense to stay in front and harrass the ball handler.

Cayenne has flown under the radar for the past year but those in the know, know who she is. She can boost her stock tremendously this summer with college coaches as she has all of the tools to impact games. She is one of the more consistent shooters in the region and can play multiple positions on the floor. She is a team first player with the ability to take over.

Cayenne has a very good touch on her shot which makes her accurate on her three pointer, mid range shot and even her floater. She plays unselfishly looking for her teammates but can fill up the stat sheet really quickly when she looks for her offense.

I was aware of Cayenne’s shooting ability,and she had that on display knocking down a couple of deep threes. She showed more to her game today handling the ball under pressure and attacking off the dribble. She continues to improve showing more facets to her game each year. She scored 12 points and gained the MVP award in the 2026 vs 2027 game.

Cayenne looks like a regular player in warmups, but when the game begins she’s instant offense. She is extremely accurate with her shooting and can make shots from any distance. Her presence has made an impact for a Vikings team that is looking to rebuild. She stepped in the building as one of the teams top players on day one and continues to show her worth.
