About Cecily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a versatile big guard / small forward, who can play and guard multiple positions. When it comes to play-making, I always want to make the right high IQ play for my teammates and me. I can score at multiple levels and love to play through contact. And defensively, I've gained a lot of confidence with causing turnovers and protecting the rim without fouling.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think of myself as a grinder, who has embraced the journey of improving in the game. This past season (2024-25), I became a full-time starter on varsity at Saint Ursula Academy (Cincinnati), which was a big adjustment from coming off the bench and playing JV as a freshman. I embraced that challenge and ended up 1st Team All-GGCL and 3rd Team All Southwest District.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think of myself as a leader, and I want to lead by example through my actions. I love basketball because of its teamwork. Everyone has to play well together for the team to succeed, but figuring out how to make all of that work is a very fun challenge. When I'm not playing basketball, I volunteer through my school and church.

What type of college are you looking for?

Being a sophomore this coming year, I haven't really thought about a specific type of college yet. I have lots of interests, from art to science, so a school that would allow me to explore those would be interesting.
