Charleigh was a player that showed up in many ways for the MCW Starz this weekend. Not only can she finish the dump passes she receives as she floats along the baseline, but Green also does some unique things on the court that’re hard to matchup with. She brings some point forward like abilities to the table plus sows the capacity to make plays for others too. Green isn’t the traditional big, even if her size may be misleading. There’s so much more to her game. If she snatched a rebound, she was liable to start the transition break herself. Her teammates trust her with the ball in her hands as she gets down the floor with great force. This really puts pressure on opposing team’s bigs to contain something they may not be used to seeing. The value doesn’t just stop there though; the ’28 versatile forward provided an extra security blanket on the backline of the defense. She was nimble enough to get in and out of the lane to contest plenty of shots. Her overall performance assisting her team to a 5-0 result this weekend can’t be glossed over.
