Costello is labeled as a 5’10 SF but she plays much more like a Combo Guard. Offensively, she has the ability to attack from the inside or she can catch at the perimeter and work from there. Though she is very dominant once getting to the rim, she displays the desire to pass the ball to a cutting teammate, more times then not, for a nice assist. Her team runs a full-court press on defense which tends to lead to a bunch of steals and layups for Costello and company. She plays the role of the trapper in the middle in this system so she is usually the one dishing out an assist coming down the floor after the takeaway or she is finding someone else in open space. I’m a fan of Costello’s game. She shows her dominance and versatility every night with the ability to adapt.
