Expert Analysis
David Fortner | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Chloe was fantastic all weekend long and impacted the game in every possible way. She scored at all three levels with confidence, but what separated her was everything else she brought to the floor. Her ability to guard every position, combined with elite court vision and passing, was on full display throughout the weekend. Chloe may have led the entire event in combined steals, blocks, rebounds and deflections, constantly creating chaos for opposing offenses. She is a nonstop two-way playmaker who consistently turned defense into offense and was a huge factor in her team going 4-0 in the 17U division.

Chloe could be the most versatile defensive disruptor in the state. She owns the three highest single season deflection totals in school history. Her wingspan and instincts allow her to blow up actions before they even develop. She racks up steals, and from the top of the defense still leads the team in blocks. Chloe does not wait for the game to come to her. She is all about helping her team win.

Loved what I saw from Chloe today. She was extremely disruptive on defense, using her long arms to come up with steals that led to points on the other end. She made smart outlet passes in transition and knocked down a contested fadeaway jumper on the baseline, making a tough shot look easy. Chloe also capitalized at the free-throw line, rounding out an impressive two-way performance. (Photo Above)

Chloe averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds per game, serving as a key contributor for one of the top teams in the 3rd Region at Green County. A combo guard with great size and length, she impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Chloe is a reliable perimeter shooter who isn’t afraid to attack the basket, and has a knack for getting to the free throw line. She plays with a team-first mentality and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her squad win. Defensively, Chloe may be the most disruptive player in her class. Her length and anticipation allows her get deflections and force turnovers. She also has excellent court vision and creates for her teammates. This AAU season, Chloe is competing on the NEXTPRO Circuit with Lady Vision 2028, continuing to showcase her all-around game.

Following a travel campaign where she wore the uniform of Lady Vision Elite 2028, Fortner is ready to translate that into a stellar freshman season with the Dragons. A 5-foot-9 combo guard, she averaged 9.9 points for a Green County 2023-24 rendition that compiled 17 victories that season. Fortner also garners plenty of attention for how effective she is on the defensive end of the floor. Deflections are aplenty when she readies up on defense. The ability to drain 3-pointers is another strong point to her game. Fortner has competed in track and field, cross country and volleyball throughout her career.

Fortner is a name I was not familiar with before Saturday but positioned herself to be a top 25 name in the class with her solid play. Chloe needs to smooth out her three point shooting and that will take her game to the next level. Definitely a name to keep tabs on, long term.

Chloe checked all the boxes at the showcase! She scored from all three levels, crashed the boards, and facilitated the ball extremely well. Her size and length worked in her favor on defense; she picked away steals and blocked a shots. Chloe has a competitive spirit and she’s going to give it all she’s got when she steps between the lines.
