About Chloe

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play a fast and exciting brand of basketball. My club team presses a lot in both man2man and zone in order to create a ton of possessions. I like to shoot 3's in transition and half-court but also drive strong to the rim and get to the free-throw line.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is that I want to win every time I step on the court. Coach tells me all the time that the two things I can control are my attitude and my effort, so I try to make sure those are always good. I also like to enjoy the game when I play, even though I play to win I smile alot and have fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in the choir at my school and I also enjoy going to my church youth group on Wednesday nights.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I definitely consider myself a leader on and off the basketball court. I encourage my teammates in practice and try to be a great teammate.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My mom has multiple sclerosis and that has been a huge challenge for her and our family. I'm happy that she's doing pretty good now overall. She also got very sick with covid a few years ago and was in the ICU for a week.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that has a great basketball program but also provides great academic coursework and support. My goal is to play D1 and I think I have what it takes, but I'm open to whatever opportunities come my way in my journey. It's very important to me to go to a school where the coach really believes in me and my game, that is more important than level at the end of the day.

Miller powered Standley Lake into the Great 8 with a 17-point, 7-rebound showing against Frederick. She sparked her team with an early three from the right wing off of a broken play. Miller then added another from the left wing to build a first-quarter cushion for the Gators. Shooting an efficient 7-13 and hustling on defense, the freshman wing delivered a standout performance.
