Christen lifted the Warriors to an epic 70-68 overtime victory against Berkley during an OAA Blue Divisional battle last week. She shouldered the load scoring 35 points with 15 rebounds and 4 steals. Christen is averaging 23 points and 7 rebounds for the Warriors in the last four games. She is a bright, aggressive, and strong multidimensional prospect who will be an excellent addition to a college program after this season.

Christen was one of the most exciting Michigan prospects on the PGH Circuit and has had a fantastic career at Southfield A & T. Christen uses her athleticism, strength, and determination to muscle her way through defenders for rebounds and contested finishes in the paint. She has an effective mid-range jumper off the dribble, and good footwork as a face-up driver or back to the basket post. Christen’s versatility as a ball-handling guard or interior forward makes her a huge asset for the Warriors. She elevates for defensive rebounds and has the acceleration to outrace everyone for transition layups. Christen explodes using crossover dribbles to power her way to the rim and blocks shots on the defensive end. Her hard work on the court and in the classroom (4.61 GPA) is impressive. Christen will be an excellent addition to a college program and I’m excited to see another All-League level performance from her as a senior.

This goes right with her dedication to becoming the best player, person and student that she can be. Banks is sure to be a high quality addition to a college program with her approach. Banks has easily been at star level this grassroots season with the Lady Playmakers. She’s shown a tough to defend combination of power and elusiveness. Banks can straight line drive with power as well as shake a defender with a dribble combo. She’s shown off a tough mid range game where she’s hit free throw line jumpers and floaters from the baseline.

Lauryn Banks Lauryn Banks 5'8" | SF/CG/CG Southfield A&T | 2030 MI is a Swiss army knife player for Michigan Lady Playmakers with the strength and toughness to play inside against forwards, but also the face up ball handling and burst to attack guards off the dribble. Christen is someone I have seen take over games on offense and defense in the past; she is an outstanding prospect I expect great things from this weekend.
