She earned All-Conference Honors as a junior and has continued to shine at competitive events leading up to her senior season. Christina creates separation with her shifty ball-handling to dish one-handed passes on a rope, bury 3-point shots, and accelerate by defenders to score layups. Christina will be an exciting prospect and one of the best point guards in the Blue this winter.

Christina had a phenomenal day at The Compound on Sunday and she greatly impacted the game with her efforts on both ends. Christina displayed her toughness and determination by outworking her opponents to secure multiple offensive rebounds. Her ball pressure caused multiple steals, which resulted in transition scoring. Christina dished impressively strong bounce passes through defenders for assists and added a showtime no-look pass assist in the transition. One of Christina’s best offensive plays was when she used a shifty double-crossover move to beat her defender off the dribble and then converted a right-handed and-one layup. She scored several floaters and layups off the dribble for South Lake. Christina is an exciting point guard who will be a great addition to a college program.

Christina brought her showtime basketball moves to the gym at Wayne State today and made spectacular offensive plays for South Lake. She created space from her defender using an Iverson-style crossover step-back dribble to bury a 3-pointer up top. Christina knocked down open jumpers from different spots and chased down a 50/50 ball going out of bounds. She did a great job of driving through the defense and dishing accurate one-handed passes to open teammates.

is a CG prospect who dazzled me for South Lake during the high school season and did the same at the Clash with Lady FVV a couple weeks ago. Her shifty handles, quickness downhill, footwork, and outside range make her an exciting guard to watch. Christina should be one of the most dominant guards at the Prep Girls Hoops Live and is going to be one you want to see.

is a shifty guard from FVV Hype-Brian who impressed me at The Clash. I had the chance to see Christina play for South Lake at the Hardwood Classic last December where she wowed with her outside shooting off the dribble and advanced ball handling moves. At The Clash, she elevated and finished into contact, then knifed through the defense to score using a pro hop with a right handed finish off the glass. Christina accelerates and glides through the defense like everyone is moving in slow motion. She finishes equally well with her right and can transfer the ball effectively without slowing down. Christina deflected a pass out of bounds and showed her toughness by playing through an injury to her right hand. (MOI, Sports Medicine)

Diavian Robinson and Christina Gibson are a great guard combo. This dynamic duo controlled the game from start to finish. They both can beat their defenders and get to the paint easily and draw fouls. Diavian went 6-8 from the line and Christina 2-2. These two are very disruptive on defense which helped their team pull away in the second half with fast break points after creating turnovers.

had her offensive skills on full display Saturday at the Michigan Hardwood Classic. She used her dynamic dribbling skills to create space and then light up the defense with three deep 3’s. Christina scored transition buckets off steals and hit contested floaters in the paint. She dished out 4 assists and added 6 rebounds against one of the SVL’s best teams.

Gibson looks like she’s on pace to have a standout junior season. She’s had an excellent fall, including taking away a Top Performer designation at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250. Gibson was always a threat to play a fast paced game. She showed good downcourt vision hitting a nice pass to a breaking teammate for an easy bucket. Gibson showed some shake with her handles beating her defender off the bounce. She also flaunted some creativity on her finishes with a tough reverse layup.

Gibson really showed that she can attack off the bounce. She was very athletic with the ball and tough to stop when she got momentum. Gibson used a nice pass fake on a drive that the defender bit on and cleared a lane to the rim.

There was a lot to like about Gibson’s game on Saturday. She was dynamic with the ball in her hands and she showed that she could use multiple dribble combos when attacking off the bounce. Gibson finished on both sides of the rim at the Top 250 and showed great body control when doing so.
