Cienna Maskill’s growth over the course of the season was on full display at the Southwest Finale. From the opening tournament to this final tournament, her improvement was noticeable. Her footwork, which was once tentative and lacking confidence, now has purpose and precision, allowing her to create space, establish post position, and defend more effectively. One of the most impressive areas of development was her ball security. At the Southwest Finale, she looked composed under pressure, handled the pressure with confidence and composure. Making smart decisions with the basketball. Add in her reliability at the free throw line, where she consistently knocked down shots from the stripe, and you’ve got a player who has taken real strides. Maskill’s commitment to growth and her ability to apply that progress when it matters most made her a steady contributor and a difference-maker down the stretch.
