How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Athletic slasher who drives to the hoop, with a reliable outside shot. Plays strong, fundamental defense and excels at the top of the press with quickness and long reach.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I take pride in being a supportive teammate, maintain a highly competitive edge, and am driven by a strong desire to continually improve my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

High honor student, selected for high school leadership council, broke middle school record in high jump, 100 hurdles, and 200 hurdles.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a multi-sport athlete and varsity starter in both volleyball and basketball as a freshman, I’ve learned to balance competing demands while excelling in high-pressure situations. Being on the high school leadership council has enhanced my leadership and communication skills, allowing me to contribute to team and school-wide success.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a winning culture, a supportive environment to help me grow as a player and person, and a location relatively close to my hometown.

As long as Claire Emerson Claire Emerson Claire Emerson 5'10" | SG/SF Wahoo Public | 2028 State NE does her due-dilligence of picking out a college that fits her style and where she will actually get to see the floor, she should produce at some impressive levels. Emerson moves really well for her size at 5’10. I would put her as a SG generally but she can really do anything that might be asked of her by her coaching staff. She is usually a mismatch nightmare right now with who she has to compete against on the high school floor. That will also change a little bit as she gets older but for someone going into their sophomore season, this is a name that I would definitely know out of the 2028 Class moving into this season as she sits right outside the Top 15 at #16.
