Claire was a prospect who quickly captured my attention at Oakland Team Camp. She used a quick rip to blow by a defender on a left-handed drive, transferred to her right, and dropped in the floater over the help. Claire snatched a defensive rebound, pushed the ball 94 feet, changed hands, and converted the tough-angled layup in top gear from the side of the basket. She hit a cutter in stride with a perfect entry pass for the assist, jumped into the passing lane for a steal, then shifted into high gear to score a fast break layup. Claire has a confident shot from beyond the arc and drained a smooth corner three. She’s shifty, quick, skilled, and active on both ends of the floor. Claire was the newcomer of the day and looks like another talented guard ready to make an impact in the Rockford backcourt.
