Claire had her rockstar moment at Oakland Team Camp. Her shiftiness off the dribble, finishing finesse with both hands at the rim, precision passing, rebounding efforts, speed in the open court, and accuracy from three-point range stood out. Claire captured Danyle’s attention at Fall League by impacting games as a rebounder, scoring in traffic from difficult angles, and her ability to beat defenders off the dribble. She’s been on a roll the past few months and will be an impactful guard in Rockford’s rotation.

Claire did some of her best work around the basket and on the offensive glass. She tracked down multiple offensive rebounds, creating extra possessions and putting herself in position to score around the rim. One of her more impressive finishes came after an offensive board when she converted with a reverse layup. Claire also showed she could create off the bounce, ripping baseline past her defender and using a floater to finish the play. Her ability to attack the glass while also putting the ball on the floor gave her multiple avenues to generate offense.

Claire was a prospect who quickly captured my attention at Oakland Team Camp. She used a quick rip to blow by a defender on a left-handed drive, transferred to her right, and dropped in the floater over the help. Claire snatched a defensive rebound, pushed the ball 94 feet, changed hands, and converted the tough-angled layup in top gear from the side of the basket. She hit a cutter in stride with a perfect entry pass for the assist, jumped into the passing lane for a steal, then shifted into high gear to score a fast break layup. Claire has a confident shot from beyond the arc and drained a smooth corner three. She’s shifty, quick, skilled, and active on both ends of the floor. Claire was the newcomer of the day and looks like another talented guard ready to make an impact in the Rockford backcourt.
