Malz has shown major growth in areas across the board, but especially as an offensive initiator. Many times, after securing the rebound, Dalz would push the pace and make accurate passes to teammates that were running their lanes. Strong finishes have always been her strong suit, but Malz is finding different ways to adjust under the rim. Dalila has and will continue to represent the region well; it’s clear this is a star in the making.

Dalia Malz (2029) | Forward |
Malz is a treat to watch. Her versatile usage and adaptability make her a clear standout. She already had polished moves in the post, but it’s the fluent manner in which she moves without the ball, how she doesn’t shy away from contact and how efficient Malz is around the basket. Her radius isn’t just in the paint though, she’s agile enough to extend the floor too. It’s not just offense though, her timing on blocks along with mobility allow her to provide stellar rim protection no matter where she’s at. Despite Dalia being a top talent, she still finds her success within the offense plus she makes others around her better. Being in the top 5 is where she belongs.

Dalila hustles relentlessly on the glass at both ends, carving out strong positioning and chasing down loose balls. She has a soft touch around the rim, converting easy layups and finishing efficiently in traffic. Dalila shows polished footwork in the post with step-throughs and drop steps, and she doesn’t force shots, willingly kicking out to open teammates. She can also handle on the perimeter and uses her length defensively to block shots.

The influence she has on the game comes without her taking a ton of shots plus she makes others better. Over her last couple of games, Dalia has been a serious issue for opponents. The freshman forward is looking quite confident, a bad sign for whoever she’s up against.

Dalia Malz (2029) | 5’10 Forward | K-O
Dalia presents a lot of advantages playing as a hybrid forward type. She’s showing range from the high-post to all around the painted areas while being extremely effective. This versatility was on full display in a recent game vs Loomis Chaffee. Dalia was finding open teammates, securing critical rebounds, getting deep positioning in the paint and finishing despite heavy contact. Malz showed exactly why she’s considered one of the best freshman forwards in the region.

Dalila recently earned MVP honors at the KIT Tournament while leading her team to a championship. She consistently knocked down threes, showing how quickly she can set her feet and score both in transition and off the dribble. She moves well without the ball to find her spots, finishes strong around the basket with either hand, and brings high effort, hustling for loose balls and willingly sacrificing her body for her team.
