struggled to find her rhythm early on, she was able to bounce back as many great players do in the Final Four game against Valor. Letting the game come to her was the biggest difference between the two games. After ending the game against Mullen with only 6 points, she ended the half against Valor with 12 points on 3-5 for 8 shooting. Setting the tone for the 2nd half, Damara was able to come out and keep the defense honest by staying aggressive and taking what was giving to her.rn

has led this group in clutch moments. Elite scoring through contests, the guard is a tough shotmaker particularly in the mid-range. Not to mention her defensive skillset makes her a pest in help or at the point of attack.

Allen provided consistent production throughout the game, hitting smooth post fadeaways with ease. Should help approach, she kept her eyes up in case a perimeter shooter became available. The guard has added layers to her offensive arsenal, getting more consistent scoring through tight contests. She even showed value on step back threes, creating space in the face of her opponent. Part of her impact also came off-ball, active cutting to secure a layup from an open lane.

Damara is the one player that has taken her game to the next level year after year. Over the last 4 years, we’ve seen her grow into this dominant player who can control the game in a variety of ways. Starting with her defense and willingness to defend the best player on the floor time and time again. Her willingness to take on this challenge night after night is what has made her one of the best on ball defends in the state.

Damara Allen may be the biggest name of the summer as she starts to rake up some well-deserved D1 and D2 offers. So far she has gotten Metro, LMU, and Belmont to name a few. Her time on the Adidas 3SSB circuit has shown that she is a willing defender that is capable of guarding opposing teams’ best players. Combine that with her ability to put the ball in the basket when called upon, she makes the perfect two-way player and the state will be on alert this season.

As I’ve mentioned before, this 17U Hardwood team is completely stacked with talent and would have plenty of standouts over the course of a weekend. With that being said Damara Allen was great from beginning to end in Dallas. There are tons of ways she is able to affect a game and she put those on display in front of coaches last weekend. Defense being her number 1 way, the ability to defend at a high level is what makes it so fun to watch as she gets her first few points off steals and runouts setting up for her offensive game.

Damara Allen continued to put her offensive game on display during Prospect Camp Sunday morning. She was able to score using a variety of moves in and out of the paint,. She also created contact and got to the foul line. Damara was also able to knock down jumpers at a high rate which made it very difficult to defend all day.

This season we had plenty of players come out and lead their teams, but Damara Allen was the one that made her presence felt early in the season. Her play forced teams into a zone, so they wouldn’t have matchup with her one on one.

Damara is highly-touted by PGH Colorado, as the #6 prospect of the 2024 as of this publication date. A top-tier prospect and plays with Hardwood Elite 3SSB. A guard with good size, speed, strong build, and playing strength. An impressive stat-line of 10.2 ppg., 7.4 rpg., and 3.1 spg. A great jumper with a great defensive play below. By my eye she definitely has a positive wingspan compared to her 5-9 – 5-10 height. Arms of a 6-1-6-2 prospect by my opinion.
