Bringing a low-post presence into the fold, this kid is super tough around the blocks. Her ability to bury an opponent and finish over either shoulder is nice. Girls receive bumps and bruisers playing against this young lady, and she loves the contact. She played well, and another impressive aspect was her ability to secure rebounds. Look for her to be a pain this upcoming season at Kirkwood. Gearing up for her last ride, you better believe she is going to ball out.

Davia Collins Davia Collins 5'10" | PF/C Kirkwood | 2027 State TN could be one of the more impactful PFs/Cs in her region this season.

Collins is extremely athletic, going into he having a great second jump. That allows her to be both a big blocking threat and rebounding threat. In a game against Brentwood Academy last season, this ability was showcased. Collins blocked a shot that then ricocheted to another Brentwood Academy player in the paint. She was able to gather her feet quickly and jump up and contest their shot.

Collins on offense can knock down perimeter shots and is a good scorer in transition.

Davia was one of the better inside-out threats on the offensive end out the floor in a group of over 60 players on Sunday. Collins knocked down shots from the perimeter, including one tough three that was heavily contested between the top of the key and the wing. Her most impressive play came on a post up where she gave the defender a little shoulder shimmy and shake before finishing on the opposite side of the basket with a smooth one-handed reverse layup. Collins has very good size and excellent mobility to go with it. She will be a very good player and solid contributor wherever she ends playing in college. NAIA and D2 coaches should have this kid on their radar without question. Davia will be a solid contributor on the next level.

Collins, first off, is a talented defender. She is good at both generating steals on the perimeter and blocks on the interior. Offensively, one area of her game that stands out is her capable perimeter shooting.

Collins can score effectively in the paint. Her 3-point shot showed up at limited times in her junior year. However, when she did shoot from deep, her shot held real promise. She has a solid shooting form, and with her being a good mover, she can get open off the ball on the perimeter better than most players at the PF position.

Power Forward with the abilities to stretch the floor to high post and even to the 3 point line. She has a very soft touch around the basket.

She is a bruiser who has flown under the radar. This kid can score around the painted area on either block. However, her ability to clean the glass is crazy. She attacks the ball in the air, bringing it down with two and going back up strong. She gets points like that on the offensive side of the ball, but on defense, she is big-time on the boards as well. I love her physicalness, her athleticism, and her willingness to go hard on every possession. She is a solid kid who continues to grow and makes waves in a tough district.

Davia was one of the most versatile players on the team. She scored effectively inside, showed comfort in the midrange, and competed hard on the boards. Her combination of size, toughness, and competitiveness made her a key impact player. Her scoring arsenal was noticeable and defenders had a tough time containing her throughout the day.

A motored up kid who can do work down low. I love her ability to establish position with her back to the basket, get a feel for her opponent, and then make her move based on their positioning. Finishing with a drop step, this young lady has mastered that as she powers through the opposition. She’s big time on the boards and really establishes a presence down low. I love her mentality and how she plays with such energy and effort.

Super tough kid who dominates the interior. She is truly physical as she possesses her will in the paint. Has great footwork, a nice touch on the ball, and this kid uses her brute strength to go through the opposition on her way to getting a bucket. Defensively, she is solid as she makes it difficult for girls to operate. She plays with a motor, goes after rebounds, and really is the engine that helps this Kirkwood ball club run. Keep tabs on this young lady as she is very talented and who such a workhorse.

Bully ball kid. Physical. You talking about someone who will give you the work on both ends and make it tough, this is that kid. Nice back to the basket moves, solid, strong, physical around the paint, she was a tough matchup as she finished around the rim. Loved her hustle and ability to grab boards. Solid kid who is poised to have a breakout season.
