Class 1A All-State: Second Team & Honorable Mentions   Not everyone gets the spotlight—but make no mistake, this group brought real production, real impact, and real noise all season long.   The Second Team is stacked with players who showed up every night, filled the stat sheet, and kept their teams in the fight. These athletes didn't just compete—they produced at a high level, proving they belong in the All-State conversation across Louisiana's Class 1A landscape. From dominant scoring performances to all-around versatility, this group made their presence felt in a big way. At 5'10”, she brings elite length for the guard position, giving her the ability to play multiple roles and create matchup problems across the floor.   She's not just a guard—she's a two-way presence. Alexander has shown she can affect the game in major ways defensively, including a dominant performance where she recorded 9 blocks in a high-level playoff game, completely controlling the paint from the perimeter and interior.   That type of defensive production at the guard position? Different.   Offensively, she continues to develop into a multi-level threat, capable of scoring while also contributing on the glass. In another performance, she posted 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks, showing her ability to fill up the stat sheet and impact every phase of the game.   Ranked among the top players in Louisiana's 2027 class, Alexander has already established herself as a name to know, with her size and skillset separating her from the pack.   She plays with a strong motor, competes on both ends, and brings a level of physicality that allows her to guard multiple positions while still producing offensively. [player_tooltip player_id='943337' first='Jakayla' last='Douglas'] is a game-changing presence in the paint with elite size at 6'2” and the ability to control both ends of the floor. She's not just big—she's productive, averaging 27.3 PPG, which puts her among the most dominant scorers in Class 1A.   Her impact starts inside. Douglas uses her length and physicality to establish position early, finish through contact, and dominate the glass. She's a consistent double-double threat who creates extra possessions and punishes teams that can't match her size.   Offensively, she's a high-efficiency scorer around the rim, showing touch, strength, and the ability to convert under pressure. She plays with confidence and isn't afraid to take over when her team needs buckets. Coming out of Plain Dealing, Douglas has proven she can carry a heavy load and produce at a high level, making her one of the most impactful forwards in the state for her class. Double-Double Machine.     Arianna Washington is a consistent scoring guard who brings a strong offensive presence every time she steps on the floor. Averaging 18.5 PPG, she's proven she can produce at a high level and be a go-to option for Arcadia.   At 5'7”, she has solid size for the guard position and uses it well—playing with balance, control, and the ability to create her own shot when defenses tighten up. She shows confidence with the ball in her hands and understands how to get to her spots.   Washington's game is built on efficiency and rhythm. She can score in multiple ways—attacking off the dribble, finishing through contact, and knocking down perimeter shots when given space. She doesn't force the game—she lets it come to her, which makes her tough to defend over four quarters.   She also brings value beyond scoring, showing the ability to handle the ball, make reads, and contribute within the flow of the offense.   Defensively, she competes and uses her size to stay active, with the potential to grow into a stronger two-way presence.   Coming out of Arcadia, Washington has established herself as a reliable offensive weapon and one of the more productive guards in Class 1A. As a freshman averaging 21.0 PPG, she's already proven she can produce at a high level against varsity competition—something that immediately separates her from her class.   At 5'11”, she brings elite size and versatility for a perimeter player. She has the ability to play multiple positions, creating mismatches whether she's attacking smaller guards or using her length against bigger defenders.   Offensively, Washington plays with a natural scoring instinct. She's aggressive, confident, and capable of putting pressure on defenses in multiple ways—attacking downhill, finishing in traffic, and capitalizing in transition. Wesley understands how to run a team, control tempo, and get players in the right spots—showing natural leadership at the guard position.   Her quickness allows her to attack gaps and collapse defenses, and she's capable of finishing or kicking out to open teammates. She continues to develop as a scorer, with the ability to knock down shots when defenses give her space.   Coming out of Southern Lab, a program known for structure and discipline, and playing with [program_tooltip program_id='714308' first='Louisiana' last='United (Boot United)'] on the club circuit, she's gaining valuable experience against strong competition—helping sharpen her decision-making and overall game.   Defensively, her speed and energy allow her to apply pressure, stay active on-ball, and disrupt opposing guards.
