has emerged as an amazing spot-up threat at the four position during this AAU season. Her ability to consistently knock down shots when positioned on the perimeter makes her an invaluable asset, effectively stretching the floor and creating vital spacing for her team’s offense. This proficiency in catch-and-shoot situations forces opposing defenses to honor her range, preventing them from collapsing on drives or post-ups.
Her reliable shooting from the forward spot adds a crucial dimension, allowing her to complement both interior scorers and penetrating guards. Deena’s performance this AAU season clearly demonstrates her significant impact as a specialized and highly effective perimeter scorer from the power forward position. Sources

First time seeing Deena play this weekend and I can see why she is ranked in the Top 20 in her class. A very long athletic forward that showed a very soft touch around the basket., Runs the floor getting out in front on the breaks getting rim to rim. Nice mid range jumper that stretched the defense out when they sank back. Great offensive rebounder as she scored on many putbacks.
Defensively she was a shot block waiting to happen. Great timing on the jumps along with her reach was able to block many shots without fouling. Excellent defender on the low post allowing no free entry passes to the post. Great understanding of help rotation let the guards pressure up on the outside knowing that she was there to protect the rim. On the press she showed quick feet and good instinct creating several turnovers. A player that is currently ranked in the Top 20 of her class.,

Holmes has long had great size, terrific length and the ability to use that well to block shots. A member of The Independent School’s 2A state championship team last season, she transferred to Life Prep Academy ahead of the 2025 season. Her skills set has flat come together and is now a now a serious interior problem on both ends. Holmes has sticky hands, quick feet and put-back chops with hops and a post game that had schools at a variety of levels turning their heads. She also runs the floor well, enabling her to many easy baskets. Holmes rocketed up the ranks 76 spots to #21, quickly becoming one of the top post prospects in the class.

Holmes gave me a glimpse of what was coming last season and with both eyes open, to say her “ceiling has no roof” is an understatement. She stands over “the magic number” and she’s “long and athletic” and that alone will have college coaches galore coming. I love her timing on defense, she gives the offensive player something to think about and her rebounding on both ends was equally impressive. She also defends inside the paint and scored around the basket
