Delaney scored her 1000th point this last week as a sophomore. In the game against Solon she scored 32 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. She is a great leader of the team and a great teammate on and off the court!

She can create off the dribble and knock down shots with regularity. She is completely capable of leading the Massillon Tigers offensively averaging over 26 points per game in the regular season. She shoots a great percentage from the field as well, taking high IQ and makeable shots! I’m excited to see how far Pierce can take this Tigers team on this year’s post season run!

Pierce is the engine that drives the Massillon Lady Tigers! She continues to display on both ends of the floor why teams have to gameplan and respect her offensive game. Pierce was aggressive attacking the basket drawing fouls finishing 10/12 from the free throw line for 27 total points! She also used her 5’8″ frame well leading her team with eight rebounds in the game versus Milford. Pierce is a complete threat with the ball in her hands as she shows she can put pressure on the defense drawing fouls and knocking down threes in the catch and shoot game. The Massillon Lady Tigers will continue to be a dangerous team as long as she continues scoring at this high clip!

Pierce is the secondary point guard for Massillon next to Nicola and is a very serviceable option as a point guard. She loves to get downhill and score in the paint as well as on the fastbreak. Pierce is capable of tearing it up offensively when she gets hot! She possesses a very pure three-point stroke that is hard to contest and block due to her height and high release point. Pierce plays with a very high motor and is willing to dive on the floor after 50/50 balls given the opportunity. Pierce is the type of secondary ball handler that every teams needs as she provides high intangibles to the game!

Pierce has such good defensive intensity, sits low, keeps her eyes on the ball, and her main goal aside from picking pockets is to make her opponent make errors so she can take off down the floor to score.  She handles the rock very well, pushes the ball in transition and sees the next smart pass. She also has great body control getting to the rim and creates great looks from penetrating to the basket, even sometimes resulting in and-ones. She hits her extra points from the free-throw line.
