Tiller had a bit of a slow start to her game as her 2A Eau Claire assembling matched up against co-host 5A Lexington. Eventually, one had to believe Tiller would look like herself and she did. Even though the Shamrocks were on the losing end of a 63-39 decision to the Wildcats, Tiller did everything she could by virtue of the 23 points she placed on the scoreboard. She is not shy about attempting 3-pointers but will throw defenses for a loop by also attacking the rim. When she is near the basket, she will either go hard to the cup or connect on a floater. Tiller also understands drawing contact and getting to the free throw line.

Tiller plays for the Lady Shamrocks in the Heart of Columbia. Destinee brings great athleticism to the table with her ability to play 4 sports in high school. She excels on the track, softball diamond and the volleyball court.
Destinee averaged 17.4 ppg and 4.3 rebounds last season. She constantly plays around the ball and is always looking to make a play on either end of the court. Tiller does a nice job of keeping the ball low to the deck and finding her open teammates on the floor.

Eau Claire was one of the first teams to take the court at this year’s rendition of the She Got Next Thanksgiving Tournament. Tiller did plenty of Tiller things on Friday afternoon as she led her 2A Shamrocks to a victory with a 20-point performance in a 44-20 win over Strom Thurmond. How she can put the ball through the basket may be what gets accolades for the standout junior accolades, but she drew a tough defensive assignment – the Rebels’

Tiller refers to herself on social media as “Destinee The Great.” She seeks to be great in every single one of the sports she competes in. Her athletic plate is very full between basketball, softball, cross country and track. On the basketball court, Tiller has the potential to take over a game – as was the case last season in a 2A regional matchup between her Eau Claire Shamrocks and the visiting Fairfield Central Griffins. She dropped 34 points in what was a hard-fought matchup resulting in an Eau Claire 52-51 win over Fairfield Central. Tiller has played her travel basketball with SC Future.
