Lakeville North has a seemingly endless pipeline of players who stand north of the 6-foot mark. Stanley is yet another who meets that criteria. A long, mobile forward with a solidly built frame, Elena’s presence on Sunday was felt most strongly on the defensive end. The Panthers freshman was active all afternoon, using her long limbs to front the post, block shots, and disrupt the passing lanes. And when tasked with guarding much bigger and stronger opponents, she showed no hesitation. With some more development in her skillset, Stanley is a player who could be a factor for Lakeville North in the long run.
