Byington, with the combination of her height and speed, is an outstanding rebounder, with her ability to cut into ideal spots for rebounds constantly. This past season, she had several games where she had double-doubles.

Byington is also a capable 3-point shooter and can operate out of post-ups at a high level. She can hit under-control half-spin moves in post-ups and score off the glass from the right side and middle of the basket efficiently.
