has had only one game this season in which she did not score in double figures, and she has maintained that consistency throughout the postseason, shooting over 50 percent from the field. But scoring is not all she brings to the floor she is also willing to rebound and get her teammates involved, averaging at least four assists per game this postseason. Johnson shows tremendous skill and rhythm with the ball in her hands. Her ability to handle the ball in tight spaces, combined with a high basketball IQ, makes her a must watch every time she steps on the court. Although she is only a sophomore, she is a natural leader on the floor. Ella makes her team a favorite to win the 4A state championship as she elevates those around her while still leading in scoring. She is clearly making a case as one of the best players in her class.

Ella is an unselfish guard who consistently helps her teammates thrive while still producing at a high level herself. She pushes the pace in transition with control, delivers crisp passes, and keeps the offense flowing. She shoots the ball efficiently and owns one of the best mid-range jumpers in the area with the ability to get to her spots with confidence. Ella is easily one of the top players in SWFL, and she backs it up with production by averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.

Ella is one of the better shooters in Florida, but it was good to see her get downhill to the rim in the 5×5 portion of camp. She did a nice job finishing with both hands on both sides of the basket. Her ball pressure and willingness to defense and not back down from any opponents was a testament to her desire to just hoop against whoever is out there against her.

Ella is a player that I briefly watched in Chicago, so I am looking forward to seeing her in action against the best of the best in her class within Florida. She’s a SWFL hooper that is somewhat under the radar in FL since she plays travel ball in the Midwest, but she led her high school in scoring as a Freshman with 14.4 ppg. Excited to see her game in Longwood as one of the best shooters in the Sunshine State!

Ella was on fire throughout the tournament, knocking down shots from all over the floor—whether she was wide open or tightly contested. She’s one of those rare players that defenders simply can’t afford to give any space to, because even a hard closeout isn’t enough to throw her off. Her release is quick, her form is consistent, and her confidence never wavers. What makes Ella even more dangerous is her ability to shoot off the dribble, creating her own shot with ease and keeping defenders guessing. She has that scorer’s mentality and rhythm where every time the ball leaves her hands, it feels like it’s going in. Her shooting ability forces defenses to constantly adjust and opens up the floor for her teammates, making her a true offensive weapon and a nightmare matchup for any opponent.
