About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a well-rounded, versatile player who can fill any spot on the court and love playing fast with confidence and intensity. I’m aggressive scoring from anywhere, shooting with a quick release and range, driving past defenders, or posting up strong in the paint. Defensively, I can guard on the perimeter, use my strength down low, and take pride in rebounding and doing the little things.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very competitive, team-first person who values strong relationships and being a positive presence both on and off the court. I love asking questions and learning so I can continue to improve in the classroom and as a player. I bring intensity and motivation every day, stay open to coaching, learning and feedback, and am fully invested in getting better at everything I do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m a very involved student-athlete who takes pride in being active in my school and community. I’ve participated in various clubs and organizations, including serving as class Vice President, being involved in SADD, Spanish Club, Viking Volunteers, and other activities. What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a very involved student-athlete who takes pride in being active in my school and community. Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I faced a significant challenge when I tore my ACL and meniscus four games into my junior season, which was meant to build on both my strong freshman and sophomore seasons and help my team contend for a conference title. I began therapy immediately, had surgery 28 days later, and committed to nearly seven months of rehab and private training, returning to volleyball earlier than expected.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers a strong balance between academics and athletics. I want to be part of a competitive program that builds meaningful relationships, challenges me to grow, and pushes me to be the best version of myself both on and off the court.
