Not only because of her production at times but because as a team you have to give her attention near the bucket or else she is going to kill you off of their guard’s assists down low. Smith was someone all week that was labeled as a vital role player for the Wildcats as they got close and close to the Championship. In the end, Macy Comito Macy Comito 5'10" | PG Carlisle | 2026 State #124 Nation IA led this group on both sides of the floor but prospects like Smith were crucial. Without their presence on the hardwood, they wouldn’t be able to call themselves State Champions at this time but lucky they can. In this Update Smith moves from being unlisted, up to the #85 spot to close out her high school career.

The highlight player of the week throughout all Class levels was Macy Comito Macy Comito 5'10" | PG Carlisle | 2026 State #124 Nation IA for Carlisle High School as she led their group to a 4A Championship but someone that is getting overshadowed is their post presence, Ella Smith Ella Smith Carlisle | 2026 State IA . Smith was fantastic all week long. She was a hooper than drew attention to the middle so that Comito could go to work with less pressure. Whenever anyone on the opposing team sagged off to help onto Macy, she always hit her open teammate for a bucket and many times that was to Ella Smith Ella Smith Carlisle | 2026 State IA underneath. Smith also rebounded down low at a steady pace each contest, she controlled the middle, and she made all the right plays when she had to make decisions. All in all, I’m not sure where Smith is going to college but I know a handful of coaches that would love to have her if she was looking to go that route. She showed her worth this last week and because of that, she can now say that she is a GBB State Champion.
