A dual-sport athlete who is a go-getter. A tough competitor that’s going at you on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she has a sweet stroke that she unleashes from multiple spots. She can be the aggressor, attack the rim, or spot up and knock down 3s all day. She contributes in all statistical categories, bringing an all-around game to the contest. is one of the more elite scorers in her class.
McDonald has one of the quickest jump shots in the class of 2027. With the speed it has, accuracy is not lost on it. She does a phenomenal job of moving around the perimeter to find open gaps to shoot. When she finds these open gaps, even if her teammate hits her in stride, she can get her feet lined up with the basket and then into a shot on a moment’s notice. With that skill, her shot at 5’11” is almost unblockable.
She had many impressive shooting games this season, including a game against Gallatin High School, where she made seven 3-pointers.
McDonald is also capable of guarding positions 1-5, and is also a high-level scorer around the basket.

Versatile forward that can play inside and out. Her length poses as a threat as she creates mismatches. Contributes across multiple phases of the game; she is the Lady Devilettes’ #1 scoring threat. Big, strong, and physical, she’s the spark plug for this talented team. There will be plenty of intriguing district matchups down the stretch. However, after being battle-tested early and playing with even more confidence, look for EB to lead the charge as LHS has its eyes set on contending for state this season.

has punished opposing teams with her perimeter shooting ability often.
McDonald already this season has had several games with two or more makes from long distance. This includes a recent game against Rockvale. She had two makes from three in the game.
McDonald has a quick trigger on her jumper. This, along with another facet of her jumper that not many high school players possess, goes into making her a great shooter. This facet is that she can get her feet squared and momentum towards the basket immediately off the catch. This helps her in being able to get her jumper off faster than most players at the high school level.

Dual sport athlete who is a smooth criminal. She is a scoring machine who can knock it down from the arc at a consistent clip. If you try and run her off the line, she won’t hesitate to put the ball on the floor, hit you with a counter move, and finish a the rim. She will lock up on the defensive end and grab boards as well. She had a tremendous summer ball season. Her confidence is there. Look for her to go into the HS season looking to help uplift this tough Lady Devilettes squad.

Had a summer where she shot from the arc at a consistent clip. This kid was playing with confidence, and she did so against some pretty tough matchups. Every time the ball touched her hand, it felt like it would find the bottom of the net. She’s solid on both ends of the floor, but scoring the basketball at a high efficiency makes her even more deadly on the floor. Look for her to start the season hot and help Lebanon reach new heights as they take the next steps towards state contention.

This kid picked up her first division 1 offer! Shooters do not magically shoot 40%-50% from long range. When you put in the time, it shows. We all know what Ellie can do offensively. She will light up the score board extremely fast from all levels on the court. She has great size, and she knows exactly how to use her size on defense. Ellie will play at the next level, and she will succeed at any level she chooses! The offer from North Alabama is the first of many!

Go ahead and call her a true stock-riser! This kid has elevated her game in every aspect! I’ve stated numerous times; when you put the work in, it will show. This one has put the work in, and the work is speaking for itself! She is a true 3-level scorer, that has the size, and skill. She can knock down the 3 consistently, well behind the 3-point line! She is a next level athlete, and I will not be surprised when McDonald’s recruitment takes off! Check out a highlight:

Let’s just say this, when she is on the floor, you better know your personnel. This kid can score it from anywhere. She can spot up on the arc, catch and shoot from the mid-range, and finish against contact at the rim. Your best bet against her is to pray because you just don’t know what she is going to do. Close out short, she will pull it. Close out long, she is going to put it on the floor and get downhill. She is a solid scoring option that is going to find the bottom of the net. Defensively, expect her to sit down and guard and help out on the boards. She is going to give impressive numbers all across the stat line. Solid kid with a bright future for sure.

Her physical tools jumped off the floor when I watched her play. He kid already had a college ready frame, and is one of the strongest kids on the floor. She flashed high IQ, knowing when to cut, interchange, and was constantly moving without the ball. She’s so powerful once she catches around the rim, and will only get better. She’s going to be big time D1.
