I’ve talked ad nauseam about how much I’ve liked Pudelko’s growth as a player in the last 12-14 months. She plays strong and played off two feet well at camp, and, in turn, played through contact well in the competitive portions of the event. She was among the more impressive 1v1 players in Mequon and probably had one of the best mornings shooting of anyone there.

Few players made the strides that Pudelko did over the last year, and she has clearly worked on her game as much as anyone. She is stronger than she was at this time last year, and played with more confidence than in the past. I loved how hard she played away from the ball and how well she crashed the glass on both ends of the floor. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well she shot the ball in her sophomore season. She’s a versatile prospect.

Few players I’ve ever seen have improved as much as Pudelko did from her first to second high school seasons. She’s physically stronger, and noticeably so, which tells me how much she’s put in behind the scenes to be an impact player at the high school level. Pudelko also shot the ball at an efficent clip and was a better rebounder than I ever expected her to be. She is a player who could continue taking more steps forward over the next year and will be a player to know for college coaches.

I’ve highlighted it ad nauseam, but Pudelko is one of the most improved kids in her class from where she was at Wisconsin Lakers ‘ first live period in Hamilton, Ohio, last year. The 5’11 wing has the skill to play on the perimeter as a floor spacer, but she is also an aggressive rebounder who will crash the glass on both ends of the floor. Wisconsin Laker kids traditionally don’t post offers, which is more than okay, but I’d assume plenty of college coaches will have liked what they saw from the Wauwatosa East product.

Wherever the action was, Ellie was in the middle of it! Strong, smart all-around player who did everything well. Down low she showed a nice bag of solid post moves and was one of the better rebounders converting on several putback opportunities. She showed a nice consistent mid-range jumper and was solid taking the ball into traffic and looks very promising for a huge sophomore season!
