Ellie’s combination of length, athleticism, and versatility earned her Third Team honors at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. She showed early during 3v3 that she could be a threat from the perimeter, stepping out and knocking down a three. That shooting carried over into 5v5, where the Team 10 guard connected on several more shots from behind the arc and gave the defense another scoring threat to account for. Ellie made an impact well beyond her shooting, using her length and timing on the defensive end to challenge shots and come away with numerous blocks. She was also active on the glass and showed the ability to quickly turn a defensive possession into offense. After securing defensive rebounds, Ellie was comfortable pushing the ball herself, getting out in transition with her head up and looking to make the right read. Her ability to stretch the floor, rebound, protect the rim, and help initiate the break made her a Third Team selection at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase.

Ellie also showed her ability to start the break herself, securing a defensive rebound and immediately pushing the pace in transition with her head up, ready to make the next read.

Ellie has length and skill as a guard that immediately catches your attention. She showed off her athleticism after catching a pass in the corner, driving by with a burst down the baseline, and finishing with a layup. Ellie swiped the ball away in the back court to score a layup and pestered guards on the perimeter. She chased down a key offensive rebound late, and her anticipation disrupts shots on the defensive end. Ellie was a key player for MBA UA Future 14U at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic.
