Emma brought energy and leadership every time she stepped on the floor by competing with a relentless motor on both ends. She made one of the more impressive defensive plays of the game by elevating for an emphatic block, then quickly turned defense into offense by pushing the ball in transition and making good decisions with her vision. From the point guard position, she scored when opportunities presented themselves while continuing to keep her teammates involved. Her defensive intensity, court awareness, and willingness to play hard every possession helped set the tone and reflected the qualities of a true floor leader.

Emma Andrulonis showed off her range to start off the scoring.  She was finding her open teammates flashing to the basket making smart cuts and hitting them in stride.  She did well moving off the ball getting to the basket and scoring off the pass.  She had some tough steals pushing the tempo the other direction scoring on fast breaks.  She was absolutely clutch with her shooting knocking some down late in the game and hitting the bucket off an in-bounds pass to take the game to overtime.

Speaking of Florida-based travel teams, Premier Girls Basketball 17U utilized superb backcourt play to ensure it returned to the Sunshine State without a blemish during its Alabama getaway. Andrulonis is a multi-sport athlete who also has played flag football as a wide receiver and defensive back. As someone who can operate either in the frontcourt as a small forward or the backcourt as a shooting guard, Andrulonis will find plenty of time at the wing. Andrulonis understands the art of utilizing her defense to set up an offense. She is a consistent playmaker and that will earn her plenty of attention from defenses. She played in 26 games last season for 6A Horizon and averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.

Emma Andrulonis is a tough, competitive two-way combo guard who impacts the game in multiple ways. She’s a three-level scorer with a particularly strong midrange pull-up game. Andrulonis is comfortable in isolation, creating space and getting to her spots. She plays with confidence and doesn’t shy away from big moments. Her motor stands out, consistently playing hard on both ends. From the guard position, she rebounds well and helps finish defensive possessions. Defensively, she competes and brings energy every possession. Andrulonis’ all-around game and toughness make her a valuable backcourt piece.

Throughout Andrulonis’ athletic career, she has tried her hand not only at basketball but also flag football. Premier Girls Basketball ran its record to 3-0 in dominant fashion over Alabama Roadrunners Premier 17U Silver in large part because of a stellar performance from Andrulonis. She understands the art of turning defense into offense – one element of her game that makes her a consistent playmaker. When she has the ball in her hands, opposing defenses understand how much of a scoring threat she is, meaning she will attract a great deal of attention from said defenses. As a defender, she can match an opposing ball carrier step for step and move for move.
