Central Florida Talent on Display at CFCA Fall League

The CFCA Fall League brought together plenty of talent from across the Orlando area last night. With two courts running across three game time slots, there were plenty of opportunities to evaluate players and see some of the depth of talent in Central Florida. Here are some of the players who caught my attention with their performances:

Jayda showed off her athleticism with an impressive vertical and elevation on the glass and as a shot blocker. She has a strong frame and displayed nice touch and strength around the rim throughout the game. She also runs the floor well and plays with a great motor. Her effort in grabbing boards combined with her competitive nature will make her a big piece for NSB this season.

Arianna put together an impressive performance against one of the top teams in the state. She consistently attacked the defense and finished through contact for multiple and-ones while knocking down the 3-ball with confidence. She also showed good mechanics from midrange, finished with a runner in the lane, and made quality passes with good vision and touch. Ari did a nice job getting to her spots and spacing the floor, too. She has good size and a strong frame but moves quicker than many players with similar builds at her position across the state. She's playing the best basketball of her career right now and looks as good as ever.

Michelle has good size and a strong frame to go with solid athleticism. She will be asked to wear a lot of hats for her team this season, from handling the ball and creating offense to playing bigger inside and battling for rebounds. Her versatility and ability to impact the game in multiple areas will be important to her team's success.

Taylor was everywhere on the floor, showing great end-to-end speed and relentless defensive pressure that created a ton of turnovers. She played with a great balance of unselfishness and aggression while moving the ball well and looking for opportunities to make plays. Taylor also showed a repeatable 3-point stroke with a solid shooting pocket. She does a great job getting to her spots and impacts the game on both ends with her motor, activity, and ability to create havoc defensively.

Jaiden has established herself as one of the top guards in the state regardless of class, and she's been consistently impressive over the past six months. She's a dynamic scorer who can get buckets from all three levels and uses her agility, craftiness, and quickness off the dribble to create opportunities. Defensively, she's one of the better on-ball defenders in her class with a knack for reading the play and hunting for steals. Jaiden is also a vocal leader who brings energy and toughness to the floor.

Princess is clearly one of the top prospects in the 2030 class in Florida with significant upside as she continues to develop. She showed soft touch around the rim along with solid footwork and effective over-the-shoulder moves with a high release. Her length and athleticism make her a strong shot-blocking presence, and she finished through contact for multiple and-ones. Princess also displayed impressive passing ability from her position, especially for her age. With her combination of size, skill, and athleticism, she has the tools to develop into a high-level prospect.

Iniya, who recently committed to Alabama, took over against one of the top teams in Florida and showed why she's such a valuable piece to her team. She was nearly impossible to contain when attacking the rim and creating opportunities in the midrange. Her combination of quickness, strength, and agility makes her a tough matchup, and her footwork and ball handling continue to improve with each outing. Iniya competed on both ends for the entire game, made tough shots, and consistently found ways to impact winning. She put her team on her back and showed the ability to take over a game against high-level competition. She's not only one of the most impactful players in this matchup but has a strong case as one of the most valuable pieces on any team in the state.

Emma showed confidence from beyond the arc, knocking down shots from deep while making her presence felt on both ends of the floor. She's a hard-nosed defender who gets into ball handlers and makes them work for everything. Emma also finishes strong around the rim and plays with good pace, allowing her to stay under control and make effective decisions offensively. She's a tough two-way player who brings a competitive edge to the floor.
