An unsigned senior who can be a last minute steal for a program. High intensity player who not only plays at a high level but practices at one as well. Showed off a very consistent mid range shot. Did exceptionally well with finishing at the basket through contact. Barajas can flat out score the ball whether it be knocking down the three ball or finishing the tough shot through contact. Gets right back to applying her tough defensive pressure that leads to turnovers quite often. A very impactful player on either side of the ball.

Barajas has always had that toughness and athletic edge, but this year she stepped into the number one option role. She took on the responsibility, and her production followed. You saw improvements across the board — scoring, defensive impact, and leadership. She became a true two-way presence, affecting games on both ends and carrying a heavier load without backing down.

Barajas continues to show shes one of the top two way guards in Southern AZ regardless of class. With her high energy she is absolutely relentless on the defensive end of the ball forcing turnovers and averaging 5.2 steals per game. Very vocal on both sides. Her offensive game has improved and shes now scoring 12.7 points and adding 2.8 assists per game. She dribbles with purpose and does a great job of making the right play. Barajas is a dynamic playmaker on both sides of the ball. A player who is highly under recruited.

One of the top two way players at the Invitational. The highly under recruited guard plays with high energy and impacts the game at a high level. Impressive in the pick and roll whether shes passing for setting. Shoots the three ball extremely well and can finish the tough basket through contact. Terrific all around player.

A tough guard that will take more of a lead role this season for the Blue Devils. Barajas has been making leaps over the last year and now finds herself as a top two way prospect in Southern Arizona. A strong and vocal defender who is not afraid of the physical side of the game. Handled the ball well was patient and made plays all day. Shot the ball really well and once momentum was on her side she could not be stopped.

Esa Barajas is one of the toughest players in Southern Arizona. She is a combo guard that that can play multiple positions but is comfortable in the Shooting Guard position. She is an excellent 3 point shooter. She has good range and is comfortable shooting from long distance. She is a terrific defender that can guard forwards or guards and can shut down players for long stretches. She has an excellent basketball IQ and she is a leader on the floor. She can definitely play on the next level and will be a huge factor for her team this upcoming season.

Barajas cemented her place as one of the better seniors in Southern Arizona. She is a tough, quick, offensive-minded wing who can get buckets in bunches. Her three-point shooting is becoming more consistent every time that I watch her.

Esa Barajas will emerge as the next star at Sunnyside in the 2025 high school season. She is a seasoned veteran player that has played on the Varsity level for several years, including her 8th grade year at SoAz Prep. She is a tenacious defender that will neutralize good offensive players and she will get several steals in press situations which turns into offensive scoring opportunities. She is a highly underrated offensive player in my opinion. She can hit 3 point shots consistently and she is very good in the mid range area. I see her playing Combo Guard on the next level in the right situation. Thus July Esa will be playing in the Nike TOC in Las Vegas on July 11th -14th.
