Piper opened its season Tuesday on the road against Seaman in Topeka, KS. Faith McCallop Faith McCallop 5'6" | PG Piper | 2026 State KS and the Pirates set the tone early with their ability to pressure the ball and play at an up-tempo pace—an approach that perfectly complements Faith’s skill set. Faith was active in passing lanes, relentless on the ball, and consistently created turnovers that turned into runouts and easy layups. She was nearly unstoppable getting to the rim and also knocked down several jumpers on her way to an impressive 24-point performance.

After earning numerous 4A all-state honors following a 2024 state title McCallop loaded up in 5A with the Pirates, leading the team to a state tournament berth. In averaging 16.6 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.6 assists she was named to the United Kansas Conference first team, SIK 5A first team, KBCA second team and KSHSAA honorable mention list. McCallop, who climbed 3 spots to #13, received third team Eastern Kansas League and honorable mention selections from KSHSAA and Sports In Kansas following the 2024 season. After enjoying a 4A state title she has taken her top flight game to the United Kansas League and class 5A. She is not only among the quickest point guards in the state with the ball she is arguably the strongest defender at the position. I had the occasion to watch her against teams with strong, Kansas point guards and not only could they not beat her off the dribble but she also showed textbook chops denying entry passes to guards trying to post inside. Her vision is terrific on both ends and McCallop is a consistent perimeter threat.
