Chastain gave me my first good look since she was in middle school, and I could have saved her for my afternoon “shooters” list, but she did so much more. Big guards who can shoot have always been a hot commodity, but seeing her score off the dribble as well as size up smaller guards to score down low. Her court vision has improved, as has her defense, but her “catch and shoot” …

Chastain is arguably one of the best shooting guards in Texas, and with numerous Division 1 offers on the table, that solidifies what I’m saying. She played for a school out of state last season, which is why she’s making her debut. I haven’t seen her in a couple of seasons, so I’m expecting her to rise in the future
