About Fiona

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with relentless energy and heart—diving on every loose ball, grinding in practice, and doing whatever it takes to help my teammates win. I love playing outside-in and take pride in every bruise, block, rebound and basket.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Basketball is who I am. I love being a part of a team and seeing the sum be greater than the parts. I try to learn from every challenge and use setbacks as fuel to grow. Playing in college matters to me because I want to compete every day, keep growing, and be part of a team that plays the game the right way together.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I take pride in being well-rounded and participating in the arts. I am at the Holy Names Academy (HNA) school choir practice at 7am before school, and I have played Willy Wonka as the lead in my school's play. I am active in the HNA Wellness Club advocating for teenage mental health concerns as well as being a HNA recruiter that connects with middle school students.

She attacks with both hands well, getting down-hill and staying physical. Helms is excellent in transition too, normally making the right play.

Fiona has a high IQ for the game, being able to get a feel of the game quickly on both ends. She runs the pick and roll smoothly, always waiting for the screen and coming off with the perfect angle to get the ball to her teammate. She can knock down shots from deep as well.
