, gave it everything she had, finishing with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in an opening-round loss to Simon Kenton, a game that was closer than the final score indicated. Karle will continue her academic and athletic career at Malone University.

Ashland Blazer | 2026 StateKYshot 36.1% from deep and played a huge role in Ashland’s undefeated District and Region run that sent them to the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena. Her floor spacing was crucial, and this season she will be counted on to be even more aggressive as Ashland chases another trip to Lexington!
Gabby was aggressive on offense, using a good pump fake and drive to create contact and earn a trip to the stripe. She showed hustle and toughness by diving on the floor for a 50/50 ball. Gabby was also very effective turning the corner off the bounce, finishing with a tough left-hand layup in traffic.
I watched Gabby KarleGabbyKarle

during the spring/summer and she was very impressive in each setting. Gabby was the 3rd leading scorer (9.6 PPG), had the second-best field goal (46.5%) and 3-point percentage (38.6%) for Ashland as a sophomore. She will be depended on a lot more this season and I think she will rise to the occasion.
Gabby was the primary ball handler in the game I watched on Day 2. She displayed excellent court-vision and made good decisions with the ball in her hands; especially in transition she pushed the pace, made good outlets passes and showed the ability to thread the needle. She also snagged several rebounds, finished through contact inside, and demonstrated a pretty pull-up jumper from the elbow during fast breaks.

Ashland Blazer | 2026 StateKY
was terrific for TSP 2026 at the Clash last weekend. She is a dynamic guard with a good feel for the game, that knows how to create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. I also liked her ability to get a bucket from all three levels on offense and block shots on defense. Gabby made good decisions with the ball in her hands, and was dangerous in the pick and roll as well. She had a great game against Indiana Elite Havoc Silver, finishing with 16 points and 10 assists.
Ashland Blazer seems to have a steady stream of talent and Karle is the latest to start showing out. Moving up from 34th to 23rd in this update, Gabby is primed for a big season as one of the top slashers in the mountains. She’s capable of getting to the rim against anyone and will likely live at the free throw line over the course of the season.
Karle averaged 6.7 PPG and 3.9 RPG as a freshman, so it’s not exactly a secret that she’s a good player. However, she has really grown her game this offseason and I think she’s going to open a lot of eyes across the state this season. Keep in mind that Ashland is a team with a lot of very talented veterans, so seeing Karle shine among those players really speaks to her talent level. She was scoring in a variety of ways and really just looked tough overall. Made multiple smart plays and was always willing to create for her teammates. I may have missed some scoring, but she had at least 17 points on Saturday and is poised to have a huge sophomore season.
Gabby enters our rankings at 34th and could be moving up again in the not too distant future. Karle had a good role as a freshman for the Kittens and is part of a talented core with Ella SellarsEllaSellars

and the Gulley sisters. As her career advances, look for Gabby to become a more efficient scorer. She could average double figures as a Sophomore.
