Gemma does all the little things to help her team be successful. The Loyola signee is a double double machine, with great length and glides up the floor in transition. Can pull up and knock down the three, very good basketball court sense.

Wichmann is a strong imposing force who can do it all on the basketball court! The Loyola Chicago commit finished with seven points and eight boards in the game versus Milford. Gemma shows she is capable of bringing the ball up the floor at 6 feet and attacking downhill at the rim as a small forward. I’ve been really impressed with her ability to dominate her matchups in the post, winning them and scoring under control with ease! Wichmann is going to be elite at the college level in due time just as she has been at Magnificat for the Blue Streaks!

Gemma is a leader in all areas of the game!  Vocal, always there to pick up her teammates!  She is so powerful when catching the ball on the block- able to go left or right, and she goes through whoever’s guarding her! And lets just say any time Gemma has the ball, she draws a crowd, as seen in the picture below!  

Wichmann is a player who has elevated her game each year, and her hard work and trusting the process is paying off! Such a problematic beast to contain- has several ways to score the ball, and she plays defense with passion!

Excellent defensive player with excellent pass anticipation skills. Her vertical, height, and athleticism make it hard to keep her out of the paint to score, and she rebounds the ball efficiently, always puts a body on someone. She gets physical during transition, knows her position and where to be at all times, and takes off quickly to score on fastbreaks! Stops the ball as well when the opposing teams tries to take off to score. Moving up to number 27 from number 34. Offers including Army, Wright State, NKU.
