Another member of the Wildcats squad, Schmaltz was a pleasant surprise from the Freshman Showcase. The 5’3 guard’s game is simply overflowing with confidence. She pushes the pace in transition, sees the floor well, has a strong set of fundamentals, and just plays incredibly hard at all times. The Minnesota Suns guard is also a vocal defender, and an unselfish passer with plenty of speed. Despite her small stature, Georgia had no problem making her presence known on Sunday. After her most recent performance, we are certainly hoping to see the Goodhue freshman make her varsity debut this winter.
