Gianna is a quick and scrappy point guard who’s going to be an excellent addition to the Swan Valley program. She contributed to Team 6 in a variety of ways at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. She showed the ability to score contested layups in traffic and, after sprinting the floor during the fast break, made a nice catch-and-finish transfer to her left for the finish. Gianna worked hard to get over the top of screens on the perimeter, moved quickly to apply pressure on the ball, and has good instincts in the gap.

Gianna showed a nice balance of perimeter scoring and activity on the glass during the Mystics Open Run. The guard knocked down shots from beyond the arc while also doing a good job tracking down rebounds and creating second-chance opportunities. She came away with several offensive boards and converted some of them into putbacks, showing she can contribute in multiple areas. Her ability to stretch the floor and stay active around the basket made for a solid showing at The Cage.
