Gianna is a confident ball handler who does a great job keeping her eyes up and seeing the entire floor. She has shown the ability to recognize opportunities in transition and knock down shots when defenders fail to stop the ball. She is comfortable creating her own offense and getting to her spots off the dribble.

Smooth offensive bag. Her handle created separation on the drive and on the mid-range J. Butter 3 ball. She never looked fazed when St. John’s pressed and overloaded defensively; remained expressionless & calm.

Gianna plays with toughness and composure, handling the ball confidently while making quick, smart decisions. She has a strong pull-up game in the mid-range, elevating well with a high release point. She’s also effective from three and finishes strong at the rim, absorbing contact and converting through it.

Gianna returned from injury last season to take over as the starting point guard as a sophomore, showing poise well beyond her years. She has a smooth mid-range pull-up, needing just one or two dribbles to get to her spot and knock it down, even with heavy contests. Gianna does a great job securing defensive rebounds and immediately pushing the pace by looking up the floor in transition. She attacks the basket with confidence, embracing contact and challenging help-side defenders rather than shying away from physicality.
