Grace Yrkoski Grace Yrkoski SF Twin River | 2027 NE and her game stand out to everyone watching not because of her scoring ability but because of everything else she does. Don’t get me wrong. Yrkoski is going to get her own in the Scoring department but her best ability is Rebounding and getting back on defense. Whenever a shot goes up, she is the first to attack the glass on offense or to start boxing out of defense. After she gets the rebound, she does a great job squaring up to the middle of the floor and looking for her outlet pass. Wherever it may be. There is obviously a good amount of skill here but another main reason that Yrkoski succeeds is because of her natural athletic ability and discipline. She knows to stay down when others drive against her, only jumping when she is 100% certain that her opponent is going to attempt a shot. All in all, it’s easy to say that defense can win championships but to go out and demonstrate it each night is impressive. That’s what we had here with Yrkoski this winter and I can’t wait to see more.
