Gracelyn was Portland St. Patrick’s court general and unquestioned leader throughout their memorable postseason run back to the State Finals. She delivered a determined double-double during the Shamrocks’ state semifinal victory against Onekama with 17 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and three steals. She led the way again in the Championship Game with 10 points, six rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Gracelyn has crafty footwork in the post and creates the scoring angle she needs to finish with touch at the rim. She crashed the glass to secure many rebounds on both ends, cut backdoor for layups, finished off two feet, dished out crisp passes with great vision to open teammates, created steals with her perimeter pressure, switched hands in the lane to slash downhill for two points, and knocked down free throws at the line.

Gracelyn impressed me as a freshman at an SVSU MLK Classic, and I was excited to see her again on Thursday. She did the small things coaches look for at the next level, like calling out her teammates’ names in transition before making the pass. Gracelyn dove onto the floor, made the effort plays, and ripped the ball away from opponents. She made smart backdoor cuts and finished in traffic off two feet. Gracelyn took a steal the other way with pace and scored through contact for the and-one layup. She buried a smooth wing three and crashed the glass to score offensive rebound put-backs. Gracelyn was active in the passing lanes on defense, rotating quickly to create steals from the help side. She switched hands confidently to create space from defenders off the dribble. Gracleyn is an athletic and dynamic two-way prospect with the potential to be an impact guard in college. She led St. Patrick with 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and swiped seven steals.

Gracelyn turned in a terrific double-double performance to help Portland St. Patrick secure a 51-46 win against Fowler and eclipse 1,000 career points. She poured in 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and generated three steals on the defensive end.

Gracelyn earned CMAC First-Team honors with an impressive freshman season for Portland St. Patrick’s. Gracelyn made a great impression at the SVSU MLK Classic last year with her relentless rebounding, downhill scoring, and outside shooting. Gracelyn works hard to deflect passes on defense and is an all-around impact player for the Irish. She will be one of the most exciting guard prospects to watch in the conference this winter.
