Hand was a big part of the Trojans’ run to the top seed in the 6A state tournament. She averaged 13.5 points (shooting 29% from three and 60% from the line), 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.7 turnovers. 2026 AVCTL D II 1st team, 2025 HM. Hand has an ability to produce points and often does so quietly. While she is effective creating steals by anticipating the next pass to get the transition game going Hand picks up points from the line, from garbage collecting on the glass and on the drive. She is one to really watch how she develops physically in the upcoming year. College coaches have a great deal of variance in what they specifically look for from players who can play the 3 and 4 spots versus a pure 4.

#23, Scored in double figures today and did a solid job of not rushing her shots and playing within the rhythm and flow of the game. Grier’s game all playoff long had teams respecting her ability to score, and she made sure that Shawnee Heights was no different in this 3rd place medal game.

#23 for Andover was the third leading scorer on the day in total with 18 points. Grier had some passing opportunities missed, but she was the only Lady Trojan who had it going offensively on the night.

Leading Scorer on the night with 18 points, 6/13 from the field. Grier showed consistent defensive engagement all game, and her offense came within the flow of the game. Her hands stayed active all night, and she put herself in a position to always make a play on both ends.

The Andover Trojans spent time as the top dog in the 5A rankings at times last season and made a lot of noise at the state tournament. Given the graduations the team had I expect Hand to likely start this season. I really look for rebounding chops and Hand was one of the few at the Wichita I-35 Showcase that boxed before going after the ball. Using a strong crossover followed by shielding her finish with her body against a strong defender is top notch. Hackers note she hits her free throws too. She will play both forward positions. I would like to see her clear rebounds better but it will come.
