Mairs has such a fun and crowd-pleasing game which was identified early on back in her freshman campaign. It was clear from the energy that she injected in the gym as a freshman that this was going to be Portsmouth’s next big prospect. She’s been a clear standout for the Patriots, comfortably carrying the load as a high usage guard, but she doesn’t exactly get the coverage or attention as other dynamic talents from around the region. Bank on Gyselle making a major statement in her final season.

Mairs had herself a fantastic individual school season and headed into competitive club play, it’s head scratching that she hasn’t picked up a big offer yet. Gyselle has mastered her pace, can explode from behind the arc and gets deep penetration after beating her initial matchup. Someone with her polished offensive skillset should be a buzzing recruiting name this summer.
