After watching Watts at our freshman showcase in September, it’s no surprise that she’s able to hit the ground running. She’s a tenacious and tough defender. Gets up and guards like it’s fun, making life very tough on opposing ball handlers. Even got a block in her first game. Displayed similar court awareness on offense, with a blend of scoring and passing. There’s an interesting mix of young talent for 2A Caney Valley, which could give them a backcourt capable of making a lot of noise down the road.

Tough on the ball pressure defense creating deflections and steals leading to transition points. Quick guard that weaved in out of the defense in the open floor getting to the paint for the finish.
First time seeing Harper play in person and she has some nice defensive qualities that would help speed a team up if that is your style. Shot looked nice just did not see enough to give a true evaluation on the SG position

Heady point guard, first notable for being scrappy and smart during “3 on 3” play with quick passes. While also being a pest on the defensive end. Quick hands and quick feet, to either harass on the ball or simply be in the right position to cut off drivers. Suspect she’ll draw her fair of share charges during her high school career. Type of prospect who does a lot of little things, which add to up a big impact.
