Smith ran this spring and summer with Shock in S40 competition. In this case she was literally running. She’s a speedy athlete, which also makes her a thief on the court. Came away with 39 steals in the month of July alone. Along with her energetic defensive contributions, she’s a quality off the ball scorer. With a clean jumper and smart off the ball movement that leads to good finishing around the rim. Don’t sleep on this Northern Oklahoma standout.

Presley’s aggressive on ball pressure and help side defense creates turnovers, which then gives the team more adrenaline and buckets! (Below with ball)

The speed demon from Northern Oklahoma can be an one woman fast break with the way she pushes the tempo. Even off rebounds she weaves her way through the defense. In the halfcourt, she’s going to knock down threes to help spread the floor. And also take advantage of defenders over paying her with back door cuts plus other good off the ball movement. Smith is a gamer, who simply produces thanks to her speed and competitive mentality.

The northern Oklahoma standout is a speedy playmaker for the Shock . Covers tons of ground on defense and is a blur in transition. Has the classic “best athlete in her school” style athleticism to compliment her speed. For one transition score, she smoothly hit the brakes and let a defender fly right by, leading to a wide open two points. Showed a bit of a cannon with some of the cross court passes she was whipping with pace and accuracy. Had been impressed with Smith when watching games online and highlights, but she’s even more athletic and fluid in person. Proving that this small town star might have been undervalued.

Newcomer to Caney Valley, who’s quickness and aggressiveness has them of to a fast start. Is a thief with a combined 18 steals in the first two games. Has a “that’s mine” mentality with the way she snatches errant passes, chases down loose balls and pokes out loose dribbles. Can shoot it with range too, averaging 17 points in those wins. Promising start for a 2A sleeper, CV’s schedule heats up next week with the Copan Tournament.

Got the opportunity to watch Presley play several times this summer and each time walked away impressed with what she brings to the court. An all out bought in type attitude. The combo guard shoots the 3-pointer off the catch or move with a nice shooting form. Tough rebounder for a guard that can grab around 5-7 boards a game. Hard nose downhill driver that is not afraid to take on the contact for an old school 3-point play
Presley has transferred to Caney Valley for the upcoming season. The addition of Presley will have an immediate impact on the program. Adding a very athletic guard that can score to the roster.

Smith’s speed is very apparent in transition, pushes it with purpose. Breaks press, and blends looking to score herself along with make the right reads to set up her teammates. Hit a very nice spin move at one point in transition, highlighting the quickness and handles she has to go with her speed. Scoring in the game watched was based around paint touches, even breaking out a nice floater. While fast, she also plays with good control and head on a swivel. Small town Oklahoma prospect, with next level traits as a speedy guard.

Lighting quick guard that pushed the tempo baseline to baseline. Quick push after every made bucket catching the opposing defense jogging back. On the point passes up the floor to the transition breakout person for easy baskets Jumper was smooth and on the catch with no wasted motion on the release. Understood not to put herself in bad situations on paint touches. Finished with a nice floater to avoid the block. If floater was not there got under control with a jump stop spin move for the finish. A PG that can break the press with quickness, vision and ball handling

Quick guard that repeatedly gets paint touches on the drives. Made good decisions in the paint either passing for the kick out or just finishing the layup at the rim. A guard that showed the range with the outside shot. The most impressive thing is her aggressiveness when she sees an opening to hit that gap and score. This young lady is a baller that I am excited to follow during her career.
