I’ve always enjoyed watching Havana play because of the relentless effort she brings on both ends of the floor. Her motor is nonstop, and she consistently impacts the game with her energy, toughness, and willingness to do the little things that coaches value. One of her strongest qualities is her ability to handle the basketball under pressure, which allows her to stay on the floor and stabilize Decatur Central’s offense. Havana plays with purpose, competes every possession, and provides an edge that elevates her teammates. Decatur Central is one of those programs that tends to gain momentum as the season progresses, and with players like Havana leading the charge, they have the potential to be a dangerous team by January. Don’t be surprised if they make some noise in Sectional 12 as a tough, under-the-radar contender.
