of Ottumwa High School. Keith, the 5’8 PG/SG, has been producing all over the hardwood from the outside. She is catching and knocking down buckets from deep as she is contested, she is getting to the hoop off the dribble when she see’s weaknesses in the defense, and she is playing aggressive but calculated ball on both sides of the floor. Keith sits at #8 in this Update as we move into the toughest part of the Winter season. She just needs to keep working on her craft in her off-time when possible!

was the best overall guard for Ottumwa in this first game of their year because of her natural instinct to jump to the ball defensively while being a consistent threat on all levels offensively. Keith started off the game with an assist for a layup off the tipoff. She followed that with hitting some three pointers off the catch from the corner and wing in the first half. Defensively, she was getting tips/deflections at a consistent rate with her team’s press in the full and half courts while staying engaged in the help-side when the ball was opposite of her. Ottumwa may have fallen short in the end in this one but this is a young team with seven freshman on roster. As soon as they get some experience under their belts, they will be just fine. They just need to keep working at the task at hand.

is an underrated prospect out of the 2029 Class. Keith is not someone that many have heard of because she plays small-town AAU and small town high school ball for the most part but trust me, she can go. She is a lethal shooter off the catch from deep, she can handle and create or she can handle and facilitate, she can defender her own position pretty well, or she can move off the ball as a screener/cutter. There is going to be a lot of talented 2029’s in the building for this event and this is another one to note before things kick off.

was first mentioned a few months ago as someone out of the 2029 Class to put on your radar moving into high school. Keith is a prospect with a wide base and solid skill set on both sides of the basketball. Offensively with her size right now she can do it all at the middle school level. She can either play the 1, all the way to the 4/5 in the post where she can score from block-to-block. Defensively, it’s the same. She can stick with a smaller PG or she can wall up near the paint and alter shots coming near the bucket. It’s whatever is needed in that given moment. I know in Keith’s offseason that she is working to diversify her skill-set moving into this Spring. She is working on tightening up her handle, broadening her vision, and she is continuously trying to understand the game from a higher IQ level. All things that are going to make her into a very respectable recruit over-time. As for now Keith will compete with her 212 Academy team out of Tiffin this Spring before moving into the Fall.

of Evans Middle School comes to us as an interesting prospect for her age with her mixture of size and skill. Keith is one of those at the middle school level that can play the PG spot, all the way up to the PF position if need be. She has demonstrated over her past few seasons with 212 that she can handle the ball at a steady rate, she can catch in the midrange and create, or she can post up someone smaller and score with her back toward the basket. It’s always a jump to play the high school level but I think Keith could see Varsity time early in her career if she keeps progressing. At this point she has a lot of promise, now it’s all about her work over the next few years.
