About Heidi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, aggressive combo guard with strong handles, a reliable shot, and a team first mindset. I bring energy on both ends and love to compete.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Most people call me Jekyll & Heidi when on the court. I am always looking for ways to grow, whether it's training, during games, or just learning from others. I take pride in doing the little things like showing up early, working hard, staying coachable. I don't get too high or too low I try to stay locked in. I want to be the kind of player teammates can count on and coaches can trust.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was homeschooled until my freshman year. Most of my time is spent with a book in one hand and a basketball in the other. I am now studying and attending school at Spire Academy as the only WBB Freshman. My GPA is 3.94. I am actively involved in my community and our local church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've grown a lot as a leader. I try to lead by example, stay vocal, and always be there for my teammates. I'm big on doing the little things and playing for more than just myself. I recently helped coach a COBA 5th grade team, volunteer through my church, and give back whenever I can. I want to be a positive example on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've only been playing basketball for 2.5 years, so I had a lot of catching up to do. This was very challenging. It took a lot of hard work, extra reps, and staying focused. I'm proud of how far I have come, but I know there is still a lot more to learn. I just try to keep getting better every day and earn everything through my work.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college where I can grow as a player and as a person. Somewhere that values hard work, team culture, and development. I want to be challenged and pushed on the court but also supported off of it.

Like any freshman, there’s a lot of work to be done. Heidi stays ahead of the curve with continued development in the gym. She’s pretty mature for her age the way she controls the game, she can score multiple ways and has excellent handles. Got to see her this fall, it was impressed with her skillset. She starts her journey at #18.
