of Pratt was one of the players I had the privilege of watching frequently throughout the circuit this summer. Traveling with the same events gave me a front-row seat to her consistency, development, and overall impact on the floor, which is exactly why she earned more and more coverage as the season went on. And the attention? It’s well deserved. Standing out with her length at the guard position, Hughes creates tough matchups for opponents. She can shoot over smaller defenders and defend multiple positions with ease. Her ball-handling is smooth and controlled, and she rarely looks rattled, even under tight defensive pressure. Whether she’s setting up her teammates or creating her own shot, she plays with a calm confidence that elevates her entire squad. She has the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter, combine that with her length and poise, Hughes has all the tools to be a problem for defenses at the next level. She’s not just gaining attention—she’s earning it, and she’s only getting started.

of Pratt HS was a standout for WKE at the Southwest Finale, showcasing what many people have noticed about her game. It is chalk-full of poise, versatility, and the ability to make a two-way impact on the court. She effectively played both guard and forward roles, confidently handling the ball and making smart decisions. Defensively, she was impressive in her versatility by being able to match up well in the post positions. She didn’t just fill a spot; she was incredibly effective at disrupting other teams’ post games. Her calming and steady presence matched with her all-around game made her a key contributor throughout the tournament.

is a dynamic 5’8″ guard gaining momentum on the recruiting trail. She has scoring ability, defensive presence, and leadership, she averaged over 15 points per game as a junior while showcasing versatility across multiple sports. As I have said about Hope before her name is fitting because she gives her team HOPE with her playstyle and when she elevates the play of her teammates her game elevates to extraordinary levles. She was a standout at the I-35 Summer Shootout, Hope continues to draw attention from college coaches, and with her consistent production and athleticism, she has already received offers from Southwestern College, Friends University, and Neosho Community College, she’s positioned to earn more offers heading into her senior year.

The long guard that had me checking the height and I thought she was around that 5’10 range. A complete guard that can handle the ball, shoot the 3 and attack the basket. An outstanding 3-point shooting guard that has her feet ready on the catch with a nice release and follow through. A very strong mid-range game who is very crafty in getting her shot without getting it block. She has the pull jumper off the dribble and a running floater that is very effective with either hand. I know a player that can hit with a floater right or left-handed that does not get shot block very much.
On defense she sat back several times waiting to jump the passing lane for the steal with her eyes up the floor looking to advance it with a pass. A shooting guard that you will find in the paint often playing defense as she is a good rebounder for a shooting guard. A 2026 that I look forward to following to see where she will land after her high school career.

Hope is a rare player with the gift that consistently elevates everyone around her. Thriving on getting her teammates involved, and when they succeed, her game rises to another level. She’s a genuine offensive threat with strong ball-handling skills and tremendous scoring ability from beyond the three-point line, off the dribble, and mid-range shots. On the defensive side of the ball, she has great instincts to disrupt the flow of the opposing team. But what makes Hope stand out is her leadership and unselfish play—qualities that will make her a valuable asset to any program.

Hughes just brings IT to the table and let me place her into that “never takes a play off” type of player. She’s consistently moving, she’s alert and she does things instinctively, like going after loose balls, off the rim, in the air as well as on the floor. She also has a nice midrange jumper, she even banked one in but her “on the ball” defense was smothering at times and she played the passing lane
